- GPS Troubleshooting
- Make sure the GPS antenna is connected and make sure the connection is not mixed or swapped with the WiFi connector. The two connections look the same so it is easy to mix up.
- If you have no WiFi connection with your GPS, this is likely the problem.
- If the connections are secure and correct, go to “Settings” and then on the left select “GPS Monitor”. On this page you will see columns, if the connection is good you will see at least three green columns on the charts.
- If there is no green column, but there are grey columns, the GPS connection is weak but the connection is correct.
- In this situation, relocate the antenna on top of the dash or even outside of the vehicle if necessary.
- Wait 1-2 days with the antenna inside the dash before trying external, as it takes a while to establish a secure connection.
- If connection is good, secure, and strong (three green bars on chart) and there are still no maps inside the GPS, check the apps you use
- For Google Maps, you will need HotSpot or WiFi
