Partial speakers working:
This guide is for Maxima that does NOT have navigation but comes with Bose sound system.
If you only have front speakers working, please locate this 12 pin connector on the main harness.
This connector is your factory Bose connector. Please note that there are two empty slots above the two white wires and also two empty slots above the two grey wires. Please check factory side connector, there should be two wires on the factory side that connects to the two empty spots above the white wires and so does the two empty spots above the grey wires. These two sets of wires are rear speaker wires.
After finding this connector, please find the main power connector:
Notice there are a solid green and a green wire with black strip next to the white wires. And also there are purple wires next to the grey wires.
To make the rear speakers work, locate the two factory wires that connect to the empty slot above the two white wires on the 12 pin connector, T tap (Do not CUT!) the factory wire to the purple wire and purple with black strip wire on the 20 pin connector. Please connector the solid purple wire to the factory wire on the right hand side. Then connect the purple with black strip wire from the 20 pin connector to the factory wire on the left hand side.
Repeat the same steps to connect the green wires on the 20 pin connector to the two empty spots above the grey wires.
After connections are made, the rear speakers should be working.
The connector will look like this after modification.
Premium trim. Factory comes with navigation.
Please find the harness below. Do NOT use the yellow cable on the main harness. Remember to include the single white connector with a male yellow RCA on the bottom right of the picture (blocked by the red sign)
Please check if the CANBUS decoder box is connected on the main harness. If not, please transfer the CANBUS decoder box to the main harness. Picture below shows the CANBUS decoder box. The harness shown in the picture below is NOT the right main harness.
Please connect the CANBUS decoder box to the white plug below:
On the factory radio, please remove the CD player but retain the white AC box as shown below:
After that, please connect the plugs circled in red to the factory CD connector:
Connect the single white plug with one yellow male RCA (bottom right corner of the picture above) to the matching factory display connector. The male RCA connects to a yellow female RCA on the 10 pin white connector below. This white connector will connect to the back of the radio and it only has one female RCA on it.
After that, connect the connectors circled in green to the back of the radio.
Transfer the factory hazard key and passenger air bag light to the new radio. Connect the factory AC panel back on and test for sound and AC functions.
CarPlay can be access under apps - car auto. Connect bluetooth to the radio first then come to this car auto app and wait for connection.
Amplifier Turn On Settings:
Please go to settings app, then follow the image to turn on the amp settings. If the amplifier is still not on, please make sure you are using the correct harness, then locate a 20 pin white plug with a yellow and a black wire on each side. Locate a pink wire on that plug, make feed 12V to the pink wire and there should be sound.
