Maps/Navigation Button Not Responding

 

Question

How do I get the navigation to display on the screen?

Answer

If you tap the navigation icon on the top and it is not responding, please adjust the following settings:

1. Please go to setting - Navigation - make sure you selected one of the maps to link to the Navigation icon on the top. 

2. Please go to setting - user settings or system - Local Nav - turn off. 

After that, you should be able to use navigation icon on the top. 

For apps like Google Maps, Waze, and other online maps, you will need to connect your phone's hotspot to the unit to load and use maps. You can also use Maps.me, iGo, HereWeGo, OfflineMaps&Navigation and other offline maps that does not need internet connections. You do need Wi-Fi at home to download the app and the map packs before you leave your garage. 

Alternative method is to use CarPlay or Android Auto where it will display your phone's navigation apps on the screen and uses your phone's data.
