Fiber optic box.
If you have Bose sound system, you will receive a metal box like the picture below.
On one of the plugs, you will find three loose wires colored red, yellow and black. These wires are accessory, battery and ground respectively. Splice and connect them to the radio power plug shown below.
The radio power connector is a 16 pin black plug which also has the red, yellow and black wire on it. Connect the fiber optic box's wire to the power plugs wire. Match the color and splice them together.
Radio side connections
After splicing the wires, connect the adapters to the back of the radio.
On the top right corner of the picture, you have the main power adapter. The adapter links to the power connector of the radio (center of the picture), which was used for splicing. It also links to the decoder box plug to the right side of the picture. If the box is not connected, please do so.
Then from the decoder box, you have a small 2-wire white plug leading out. That is the canbus connector. Connect that to the radio.
After that, look for a yellow female RCA tagged "reversing video input". Connect the white end to the radio. Then connect the RCA end to the CCD AVIN male RCA. This male RCA also links to the power adapter.
With all the plugs on the main harness connected, shift attention back to the fiber optic box, there should be a black cable connected to the middle of the three connections. Connect the other end of this cable to the back of the radio. This cable is the radio optic signal output. Radio sends this signal to the box then it is converted to the optic signal that the car accepts.
Here is another angle of the connections. In both pictures, the power connector is not connected to the radio. It should go to the plug to the port on the bottom side (upper pic) / right side (lower pic) with a red fuse.
On the left side of the lower picture, you have two metal round screw type connectors on the left. Those are for 4G antenna and GPS antenna. In the harness bag, the square antenna is GPS. The long and flat antenna is for GPS.
The round hole on top of these two connections are for AM FM radio antenna adapter.
Don't mind the loose wires coming out from the single RCA plug. Those loose wires are not used.
Notice the left side of the pic below, you have the RCA cables for other video / audio input output and mic. Connect the white end to the back of the radio.
The two empty ports between the camera and canbus plugs are for USB cables. The harness bag should have two USB adapters. They will go into these two ports.
On the main harness, there are two male RCAs tagged AUX IN L and AUX IN R. Connect them to the female RCA tagged the same.
Vehicle side connectors
Now the connections left are the vehicle side connectors. There are total of 4 connectors from the car side that are used. They are power plug, USB, am fm antenna and fiber optic cables.
AM FM antenna connector. The connectors plugs in to the am fm adapter on the radio.
Fiber optic cable. Connect the orange cable to our metal box. The plastic box was from older design. Make sure both orange wires are securely connected. If one of them falls out, the radio will lose sound.
Yellow USB cable from the car side. Connect that to the USB adapter. The adapter has a male USB on the other side. You can plug that male end to one of the two females on the radio.
Power plug. Remember to close the latch to lock the plug. It will prevent the plug from loosening and falling out.
These two connectors are NOT used.
OEM GPS plug.
