Follow guide below for airbag and backup camera wiring.
Airbag:
You need to have an airbag adapter to complete the wiring:
For GX 460 before 2014, if you have airbag light warning light turned on on the dash, please locate this connector behind your radio. On H8's factory side, pin 3 is green and pin 4 is black. On H32's factory side, both pin 8 and pin 16 are black wires.
For model 2014 and after, please find this one. H28 on factory side, pin 11 is green and pin 6 is black.
Connect pin 6 black wire to purple wire on the airbag adapter. Connect pin 11 green wire to orange wire on the airbag adapter.
On the airbag adapter, cut the chip off the adapter. You will have three outlets coming out from the chip. Of the three outlets, you have a red, a purple and an orange wire. Please follow the diagram above to connect the corresponding spot.
Or you can find this harness and connect it on the connector. Connect the red wire with a small black connector on our radio's main harness.
Single Camera
Harness for factory backup camera harness is not provided for 2013+. However you can refer to this for 2013+ GX460 to tap into factory backup camera wiring. Pin 8 and Pin 9 are the positive and negative of the video signal. Pin 10 needs 6V to turn on camera and pin 21 is the ground for camera power.
To make the connection, first locate the following connector. It is a 24 pin connector. Cut the wires at about 2 inch away from the connector. Locate the marked wires below and we will connect them to the matching wires.
Now we will find another connector which already has the RCA, 6V and ground wires. We will transfer those connections to this connector.
Find this connector on the harness:
In the middle of the 22pin connector, you can see a yellow wire, a blue wire and two black wires. Cut these wires off against the plug. You will see the yellow wire comes from a yellow male RCA and it is paired with a black wire. Now we can connect from the 22 pin connector to the 24 pin connector in the previous picture. Connect the yellow wire to grey RCA+ wire on the image above. Connect the paired black wire to blue RCA- wire. Connect blue wire with white strip to pink 6V+ wire. And finally connect the single black wire to purple ground wire.
For models before 2013, please locate this connector instead. Our main harness has matching connection. Just connect the connector and then connect the male RCA on this connector to a yellow female RCA tagged "camera".
Factory 360 Camera not triggering and not showing:
Please connect the connectors shown below:
Then go to "Console" app on the top - press gear icon in the console app - choose 360 year - change the model year in there - reboot the radio - shift to reverse and check for camera again.
If this does not work, please switch the blue connector in the picture to a grey one and try again. (for 2013 and after model)
If you only have 1 single backup camera, please look for this connector instead and connect this male RCA to the female RCA tagged "camera".
