Hazard Switch
After factory radio is removed, please remove the hazard switch from factory radio as well and put it on the new radio.
Harness
Locate the main harness in the harness bag, it is the largest wiring with multiple white connectors on it. Connect the white connectors to matching connectors on the vehicle side. If your Altima comes with factory backup camera, please locate a male yellow RCA on the main harness and connect that to a female one with tag "Camera" on AV-IN plug.
There is a plastic box in the package called CANBUS decoder box, which is used to control AC and manage communication between the vehicle and the radio. Please connect this box to the main harness as well.
After that, connect USB, AV-IN, Line-Out color connectors to the back of the radio. For USB, if you have factory USB ports in the vehicle, you can use adapters to connect the female end to the mini USB behind the radio. Please note, the vehicle USB port may not have the capability to transfer data. So functions like CarPlay and USB drive might not be able to connect to the radio using stock USB ports.
Install
After all the plugs are connected, please reconnect the battery and turn on the vehicle to test audio function and AC controls. If everything works fine, please reverse the steps and install everything back.
If your AC is not working, please take pictures of the wiring behind the radio. Please also take a picture of system info, which is in setting app on the top - system info on the left. After that, please take a picture of car type setting. Go to setting - install set/Advanced - 8861 - car type - choose the current green highlight on the right - take a picture of the protocol page. Please send the pictures to customerservice@RhinoRadios.com
